The Reality of Living in the Canadian Wilderness in Winter

The Reality of Living in the Canadian Wilderness in Winter

Wind and snow continue to make life difficult for Cali and I as we deal with a harsh Canadian winter. Wind whips across the lakes and buffets the log cabin while I continue raising the walls of the log sauna before a Polar Vortex settles over the area for the next few days. Hot soup made with fresh walleye/pickerel and coconut milk cooked on the wood-fired stove in the off grid kitchen thaws me out before settling in for a cold, windy night in the cabin.
